Welcome to Chalet Pra Loup, located at the heart of the largest skiing area in the southern alps of France. Our privately owned and run chalet accommodates up to 14 guests in five doubles/twin rooms complete with en-suite facilities, and a family suite also with an en-suite bathroom. The chalet comprises of four floors, all with exceptional panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valley. The bottom two floors are constructed of stone, with the top two floors being made of wood, reconstructed on the present site in 1970 from an old Austrian chalet providing enormous alpine character. As your hosts, Olly and Gemma are excited to welcome you to their long-term ambition – the realisation of a uniquely positioned quality catered ski chalet, set in an increasingly recognised ski resort with facilities for all standards of skier. Pra Loup doesn’t have some things other resorts do - the indifference of huge linked resorts, the vast queues, the extortionate prices, and the home from home impassiveness. Our philosophy is about getting ski holidays back to what they should be like – relaxed, easily accessible, efficient, with huge variety of skiing in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The chalet is ideally situated in the picturesque village of Les Molanes (1500 metres altitude) 150 metres from the chairlift that delivers you to the heart of the skiing area, and 5 minutes from the commercial resort of Pra Loup 1600. Our guests come for the idyllic location and the relaxing comfortable alpine chalet living environment (the terrace is entirely south facing, and is a fantastic suntrap), as well as the broad variety of winter activities available; - skiing, ski de fond/langlauf, night skiing, snowboarding (several snow parks), snow shoeing, ice skating, tobogganing, skidooing, husky sledding, parapenting, gliding, skydiving.
