Pra Loup has the magic formula – lots of snow and plenty of sunshine. Colossal snowmaking ability provides a good base layer early on, ensuring a long ski season. Pra Loup, and its award winning uplift system has always proved a revelation to skiers who have previously enjoyed massive areas such as the Three Valleys, the Chamonix Valley and The Milky Way. ‘L’Espace Lumiere’ (Pra Loup and La Foux D’Allos) provides over 180 km’s of pistes ensuring that there is plenty of skiing for everybody. Beginners benefit from being able to access nursery slopes at a high altitude for the best conditions (and lunch time rendezvous with friends of all skiing standards); lessons are available through ESF and ESI. Developing skiers have a wide choice of runs, as do more advanced skiers who prefer faster, steeper and more challenging pistes. The skiing varies from big ski bowls at altitude to skiing between the trees. Additionally there is a huge amount of off piste skiing to explore - best to take a guide to show you the best runs. There is also access via free shuttle buses to three other skiing areas (Sauze, Super Sauze, St Anne de la Condamine) within 20 minutes of the chalet, for those staying with us for longer periods.

The resort is already very popular with the French and has hosted many big ski competitions such as the Europa Cup. The provision of new air routes to Grenoble is now opening this beautiful area up to a wider European audience.

The main resort of Pra Loup 1600 consists of a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs for après-ski. A free bus service runs between Pra Loup 1500 and 1600.
