Fly to Grenoble and hire a car. The availability of cheap flights and car hire provides you with a stress free and inexpensive way to be in control of your own holiday and not at the mercy of package tour operators! Ryanair in particular seems hard to beat (discounted car hire straight after you have booked air tickets on ryanair.com). The beauty of the area almost necessitates the use of a car, you will want to go exploring! Specifically Barcelonnette (15 minutes away by car) has lots to offer, from stunning architecture to farmers markets, bars, restaurants, and charming regional shops providing everything you could wish for.

If you fly to Marseille, there is a bus service to Pra Loup every Saturday departing at 2pm. Return by reservation (Saturdays only), which we can arrange for you upon request. Or hire a car!

By Train: From the UK you can take the train from Waterloo to Paris, then the night train.
Train departs Paris Austerlitz: 22:05
Arrives Gap: 07:01
Bus departs Gap: 07:40
Arrives Pra Loup: 09:20

There is a 40-minute wait at Gap before the bus departs for Pra Loup, however Pra Loup resort will provide you with a complementary breakfast during this time.
